Representatives of NH DES will be coming to Silver Lake on Friday, August 29, 2014 from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm to teach the assessment and design skills for people interested in helping design solutions to solve stormwater issues around the lake. Anybody who is interested please RSVP to Rick Brackett of the Monadnock Conservancy at rick@monadnockconservancy.org by Wednesday, August 27. Dress appropriately for the weather and bring water, snacks, and food if you plan to go – Rick will email back to let you know where we are meeting to start. This workshop will cover identifying stormwater issues, taking measurements, filling out the NHDES project worksheets, matching BMP’s with the issues, determining the size and location of BMP’s and percolation rate testing.
